The route winds along peaceful orchard paths and open countryside, where you're treated to views of the Chinyero volcanic area. Along the way, you'll learn about local farming life and how the island's microclimates bring the almond blossoms to life each winter. Your day starts with a relaxed hotel pick-up, joining a small group as you wind your way up to the highland village of Santiago del Teide. That's where your expert hiking guide leads you onto the trail. From the very first steps, you'll feel the landscape shift – volcanic soil under your feet, old stone terraces, quiet hamlets and the scent of almond blossoms drifting across the fields. As you follow the well-marked path through the orchards, your guide will share stories about local farming traditions and why almond cultivation is such a big deal in this region. And of course, there's time to stop and snap some photos of the Chinyero foothills before you continue on.
