Sightseeing and beer-drinking – that’s what’s on the cards today.
Your guide will lead you around Dusseldorf, stopping at landmarks and breweries. You’ll start in the uber-modern Ko-Bogen shopping district, which is something of an architectural icon. After you’ll travel back a few centuries, as you make the short walk over to the old town. This place is often dubbed the Longest Bar in the World, due to its 300-odd bars and beer halls. Here, you can refresh with a tasting.
You’ll get to try three different beers per person, and the local brew Altbier is a must. This dark beer is only made in six breweries in Dusseldorf, but it’s stocked in pubs and shops throughout the city. Before or after your tasting, you can take in some of the sights, including time-stamped churches, the grand town hall, and the Stadterhebungsmonument – a bronze sculpture, which tells the history of Dusseldorf.
