On select days, you have the opportunity to hear the harmonious tunes of the Montserrat Boys' Choir, one of Europe's oldest, which graces religious ceremonies and group prayers in the basilica.
Located in a building designed by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, the National Museum of Montserrat (MDM) is home to one of the country's most notable art collections. It boasts works by renowned artists such as Caravaggio, El Greco, Rusiñol, Casas, Picasso, Dali, Monet and others. Additionally, it holds a valuable collection of archaeology from the ancient world featuring archaeological artefacts from the Near East (ancient Persia, Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Holy Land...). You can also explore temporary exhibitions alongside the permanent collection.
