Located in the centre of Bath, the Jane Austen Centre explores the life and works of the famous novelist Jane Austen. Austen lived and wrote out of her home in Bath for several years, and the city is mentioned in her writings with affection. Indeed, the novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion are set here.
Discover more about this beloved author and step back in time as the live guides bring you around the exhibition. Visitors can also dress up in period costume for a photo opportunity with the waxwork of Austen. If you have the time, enjoy a nice tea in the elegant Regency Tea Rooms.
The live tour runs every 30 minutes. If you arrive early there is an introductory video in the screening room whilst you wait.
