The inside story

Hop aboard a cruise on the Steamboat Natchez and discover the history of the New Orleans' Port while being onboard an authentic steamboat. This particular steamboat is a sternwheel steamboat that has been in operation since 1975.

One of the oldest cruise lines in the world to transport passengers, Steamboat Natchez was originally founded in 1817. Today, the one you will ride on today is the ninth vessel that is modeled after steamboats Hudson and Virginia.

There are a variety of cruises and tours available to choose from. Guests can enjoy the beauty of the Mississippi River while listening to relaxing live jazz music or even take part in a dinner cruise and catch a sunset.

Cruises and tours usually operate from 9 am to 9 pm from Sunday to Friday, while cruises and tours run from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Hours might change depending on the season, so always check the official website for operating hours for that given day.

Steamboat Natchez is a must-do experience that will take you back in time. Millions of guests have taken part in one of America's oldest and richest traditions so don't miss out!
