Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway, where coastal mountains meet blue-green waters, featuring lovely sandy beaches with sea lions lounging under the sun. Upon arrival at Monterey‘s Cannery Row, you will have time to check out one-of-a-kind shops or enjoy many of the famous fish delicacies offered by the restaurants dotting the shoreline. Next, continue along Pacific Grove and onto the 17-Mile Drive, stopping along the way to photograph famous landmarks like Pebble Beach Golf Club. You will also stop in Carmel-by-the-Sea, considered one of the most beautiful villages along the Pacific coast, before heading inland to San Joaquin Valley and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Then, overnight in Oakhurst, just outside of Yosemite National Park.
Day 2 begins at the park through the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias. There will be time to walk through this ancient forest of 3000-year-old trees reaching 36 feet in diameter! Then, continue to the famous Yosemite Valley Tunnel, featuring views of granite cliffs carved out by ancient glaciers. Enjoy free time to take walk, a swim or bike ride around the base of Yosemite Falls. You will have the afternoon free before returning to San Francisco.
