This tour will take you to discover the most beautiful places and ancient traditions of Tuscany, a land rich in history, art and enchanting places. Spend a memorable day in Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa with a scrumptious lunch in Chianti including wine tasting!
Make your way to Siena driving through the lovely Chianti vineyards early in the morning: the perfect time of the day to wander through the streets of the center of this beautiful hilltop town, steeped in history. Alongside a local guide, you will take part in a walking tour along the narrow medieval streets and squares, passing by the oldest bank in the world, and the Piazza del Campo – site of the famous 17th century Palio horserace – to then arrive at the spectacular cathedral. With the semi-independent option, you'll have free time to visit Siena at your own pace.
A short coach journey will then take you to a family-run wine farm in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Here you will have a delicious, traditional Tuscan lunch served with typical wines. After lunch, you will depart for San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; a small town that has remained intact over centuries on the top of a hill. It is famous for its towers, frescoes and other art treasures. Make the most of your free time to explore the town center and its small squares, shops, charming craftsmen’s workshops that line its cobbled stone streets.
From San Gimignano, you'll drive past hilltop hamlets and little churches, scattered over some of the most beautiful and enchanting countrysides until finally arriving in Pisa, the last destination of the day. After a short walk, you'll reach Piazza dei Miracoli, a green grass field dominated by the dazzling white buildings of the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower and the Baptistery. The famous Leaning Tower is almost 56 meters high and is inclined about 4 degrees, making it one of the most iconic buildings in the world.
