Navigating through the hustle and bustle of a train station or pedestrian zone can be quite a challenge. Imagine trying to identify a store without the aid of neon signs or shop windows. Consider whether a snack or coffee would taste just as good, or perhaps even better, if you hadn’t seen them beforehand. Are you ready to take on this challenge?
The tour commences at the main station, progressing through various stops in the pedestrian zone towards either the town hall or Jungfernstieg. The duration of the route is flexible, depending on your confidence and the size of the group, leaving the final destination open-ended. You may choose to conclude the tour at the town hall, after a short underground or bus ride at the port of Hamburg, or back at the main station.
Throughout the city tour, you will be blindfolded (except for the welcome), equipped with a suitable cane and instructed on its use. As you explore the city centre, you will always be accompanied by a tour guide ensuring your safety. Your cane will alert you to any obstacles, and any steps or similar will be announced well in advance. A brief pause for a snack or drink is optional but highly recommended for a complete experience.
