Enjoy a great half-day trip from Amsterdam to the Floriade Expo!
A comfortable, air-conditioned single deck bus will drive you from Amsterdam to the destination (40-minute drive), the Floriade Expo. After arrival at the Floriade Expo, your guide will take you on an orientation tour through the park (if you choose the option "guided tour" in the calendar). Interesting facts and stories will be explained. After the walk, you will have 3 hours of free time to explore the area on your own. Your guide will also give you further information about what to do and where to go.
The main theme of this year is: "A celebration of green" divided into 4 subcategories: greening the city, feeding the city, healthying the city, and energizing the city. The Floriade Expo is situated in an area of 60 hectares (148 acres) which will be converted into a green healthy urban district of the city of Almere after the exhibition is finished. Walk through this beautiful park over the green bridges and learn everything about green infrastructure. Visit the pavilions in which the participating countries are presenting their flowers, plants and culture and make a ride by cable car. Gain knowledge about cultivating food in the city, get tips and tricks for a healthy lifestyle in the residence where you are living and find out about some ideas for sustainable energy solutions. You can also get an impression of the real estate sector of the future.
Of course, there will be also plenty of opportunities to grab a nice drink or consume a typically local and healthy dish.
