Board the transfer and enjoy a 50-kilometer ride to the pistachio estate located in Bronte. Take a walk around the grounds and stroll amongst historic pistachio street while Sonia will tell you about the history and cultivation of the trees. It is time for lunch. Sit down to enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch with a menu based on pistachios and other typical products such as cheese, bresaola and Sicilian wine.
Your hosts Sonia and Manuela are two passionate Sicilians loving to host people at their lunch table. After your tasty lunch, Sonia will drive you back to Catania.
The menu:
Starter - Parmesan basket with pistachio and mortadella mousse, a roll of bresaola with cheese and pistachio
First course - Pasta with pistachio sauce and bacon
Second course - Meat roll with pistachio, cheese, and ham served with fresh salad
Dessert - Choice between pistachio ice-cream, crunchy sweet with pistachio, pistachio bonbon, lemon tiramisu’, cinnamon “gelo”, or seasonal fruit
Drinks - Water, Sicilian red wine, homemade digestif (with lemon, mandarin, or laurel), a coffee espresso
