Visit Syracuse, Ortygia, and Noto on a full-day experience from Catania to admire the city's most iconic sites and explore their characteristic city centers!
The first stop of your tour will be the Neapolis Archaeological Park, which houses most of the monuments of the Greek and Roman Syracuse. It is the most representative location of the ancient Greek city, with large areas of green from which you access the main archaeological monuments; admire the Greek Theater, still used for classical performances, the Roman Amphitheater, the Paradise anatomy with the Ear of Dionysius and the Cave of the Cordari, the Altar of Hieron and the Church of San Nicolò ai Cordari.
Then head to Ortygia, where you'll enjoy a 2-hour guided tour with a local authorized guide. Find out about the city's history, moving among Greek temples and Christian churches, Swabian, Aragonese and Baroque palaces, courtyards, Arab alleys, stores, modest homes, and beautiful squares. After a lunch break, you'll visit Noto, home of Sicilian Baroque and a true open-air museum. Walk along the town's historic center, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and admire the many palaces and churches that have earned it the nickname of 'stone garden'.
