You'll depart in the morning from Colmar, the heart of the Alsace wine region, and travel through along the wine trail in comfortable air-conditioned transport to visit the quaint villages of Obernai and Andlau. The colorful half-timbered houses and renaissance style houses and cobblestoned streets make these centuries-old villages truly picturesque.
You'll step into a medieval castle and learn the history behind a fortress that has bore witness to conflicts between lords, kings and emperors in centuries past.
This tour also gives you the opportunity to jump into an interactive workshop to discover more about the unique buildings that make the villages so striking, before arriving at a traditional Alsatian winemaker to experience the established methods of local winemaking and of course the opportunity to sample the results!
You'll travel back through the rural region of Barr, enjoying the views of the rolling green hills and abundant vineyards to arrive comfortably back at your accommodation for the early evening.
