A far cry from Dubai's glitz and glam, Oman's Musandam Peninsula is a getaway to beat them all. You'll travel into this remote, mountain studded area to take a boat trip for swimming and snorkelling opportunities, alongside plenty of time to relax.
Dubbed the ‘Norway of the Middle East', it's no surprise that Musandam Peninsula promises an escape into a land that's peppered with wild rocky inlets known as khors, limestone mountains and foothills separated by valleys. You'll see the best of it while voyaging along the mountain-hugging roads towards the coast.
You'll then swap to a boat to explore the Strait of Hormuz, the sea that separates the peninsula and Iran. You may even be lucky enough to spot dolphins between swimming and snorkelling.
