This three-day, two-night tour from Goa to Badami and Bijapur covers a lot of ground. You'll visit Mughal and Hindu architectural masterpieces, the Badami rock caves and see some of the most elegant Islamic monuments in India, while staying the night in Badami and exploring an area few tourists go to.
You'll rise early on the first day to get going on a road trip to Badami, swinging by the complex of Hindu and Jain temples at Pattadakal and historic monuments in Aihole en-route. Once you've checked in to the hotel and had lunch, you'll set off sightseeing around Badami, including the famous Cave Temples carved into red sandstone hills.
There'll be another early start on day two when Bijapur is on the agenda – a city peppered with architectural delights from the Adil Shahi dynasty. Here, you'll visit Gol Gumbaz – a tomb with an impressive dome - the Ibrahim Roza mausoleum and unfinished Bara Kaman mausoleum. Afterwards, you'll set off back to Badami for the evening before returning to Goa the next day.
