What to expect

If you really want to see how the Queen spends her spare time, why not visit her home and get a behind-the-scenes tour of her life? Buckingham Palace is the royal family's official residence, and only open to the public for 8 weeks of the year, so this is a rare chance to revel in the luxurious ballrooms fantastic throne room and beautiful gardens.

With an architectural marvel behind you, you'll move on to a more natural one: Stonehenge. But how did these enormous standing rocks come to be situated on Salisbury Plain? And what were they for? Perhaps they were used as a place of worship, or an ancient astronomical clock, or even a Bronze Age burial ground. No-one really knows, so you can enjoy your visit, speculating and deciding for yourself.
