Caminito del Rey is one of the best attractions of the Málaga region thanks to its incredible views, fascinating history and the undeniable charm of this hiking trail.
The walkway, longer than 3 kilometers, was built on the walls of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, one of the most beautiful natural gorges of the province, just 30 kilometers north of Málaga. The canyon was created by the river Guadalhorce and, in certain parts, the paths reach heights of 105 meters and widths of just 1 meter!
Even though the walkway is the most famous part of the Caminito del Rey, its total length is 7,7km between the two entrances. The hiking path is linear and can only be walked one way, descending from north to south.
After an introduction in English, you'll start your hike with a Spanish speaking tour guide, who will tell you some incredible anecdotes and stories regarding the Caminito. You'll get to know why it's considered the most dangerous hiking trail in the world, what role it had in the past, and how the Caminito came to be built in such a dangerous place.
