Guided tour and tasting at the Marché d'Aligre
- Experience a local French market
- Taste delicious products
Experience a guided tour in the most energetic, colourful, lively and cosmopolitan market of Paris: Le Marché d'Aligre. Located near Bastille, Le Marché d'Aligre is the parisians' rendez-vous for daily groceries but also an amazing festival of senses: cheese and spices perfumes, colourful flowers stalls to steamy foodtrucks, you will experience the great atmosphere of a local French market that tourists almost never would and have the chance to taste some local products.
At the heart of Marché d'Aligre is one of the few remaining covered markets in Paris, the Marché Beauvau packed with permanent stalls overflowing with tapenades, spices, nuts, NorthAfrican harissa, flowers and poultry only for your viewing pleasure. Outside the Marché Beauvau you can find all kind of treasures at the flea market. The guided tour continues along the rue d'Aligre where interesting gourmet shops are selling delicious North African breads, French cheeses, chocolates, mussels and fish, spices and African and Asian delicacies.
Your local guide will explain some of the history of the market and a couple of tastings plus a mint tea break in a corner café will be, of course, part of the tour.
The visit is 2 hours and all of the tastings around the market are included in the price.
