Located at the west end of the Tuileries garden, not far from the Louvre and just opposite the Place de la Concorde, the Orangery Museum is a jewel that should not be missed!
Enjoy a two-hour tour in a small group, accompanied by your expert guide, to discover a series of Monet's paintings on the water lilies, known as Water Lilies, which occupy much of the upper floor. During your visit, you will discover 8 enormous water lily paintings hanging in two galleries over nearly one hundred linear meters that unfold a landscape dotted with water lilies, water reflections, willows, trees, and clouds, giving "the illusion of an endless whole, a wave without horizon and without shore," according to Monet's words.
You will continue your visit in the basement of the museum where you will discover a vast collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist works, including the important collection of Paul Guillaume, which has been donated. Other artists whose works are on display include Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Rousseau, among others.
