Start your day at Reykjavik Domestic Airport for your flight to Höfn. Look out of the window to admire the sunrise. At the airport a pick-up awaits you to bring you to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, a glacial lake on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park. In the lagoon you can see impressive icebergs floating and moving along with the waves. Listen to the calming crackling sounds these enormous mountains of ice give off as they float around in the lagoon.
Next you will hop into a monster truck that will bring you to the foot of the largest glacier in Europe for your glacier hiking (or Blue Ice Cave Exploration). Explore the naturally formed ice cave with your guide and listen to him explaining you all about this beautiful part of nature.
The tour continues on Diamond Beach, just beside Jökulsárlón. It is the best way to bring this unique experience to an end. Look upon an endless stretch of black sand back littered with sparking all kinds of ice pieces. The day ends with a drop-off at the domestic airport in Höfn for your flight back to Reykjavik.
