The first stop on this private tour is in Caesarea. This is an ancient port town made famous by King Herod who named it in honor of Caesar Augustus. Caesarea thrived under Herod and throughout the Byzantine era but was then destroyed by the Arab conquest before being resurrected by the Crusaders. On your return journey south, you will stop at Acre (Akko), the largest Crusader city in the country. The city is extremely well preserved and you can't help being impressed by the incredible architecture and how it has survived.
