From 1968 to 1977 the BBC broadcast 80 episodes of Dad’s Army attracting battalions of fans across the world. More than 40 years since the show ceased productions fans are still marching to the tune of Captain Mainwaring and his rag tag army of home Guards.
Although set in Walmington-on-Sea on the Sussex coast, the show was filmed in the Norfolk town of Thetford.
