Join this small group Northern Lights chase to maximize your chances of witnessing Earth's most magnificent light show from outer space, the Aurora Borealis. Your guide is an expert at finding clear sky and the Aurora even in the most challenging weather conditions with a success rate of well over 90%!
After getting picked up from your hotel in Tromsø centre, you will leave the city lights behind you and drive to where your guide expects the clearest weather conditions that night. On some nights this may lead you to the coast around Tromsø, on other nights you may drive all the way into Finland.
Once you’ve found clear skies, you will look for a scenic spot to set up camp for the night. On some nights the Aurora appears right away, on other nights you have to be patient. Sometimes you see a faint greenish line on the horizon, sometimes it’s a bucket full of colors dancing across the sky.
Your guide will take pictures of the Northern Lights and you, and they will be shared with you after the trip. If you decide to bring your own camera, your guide will also help you set it up and teach you all you need to know to take great shots of the Aurora and the stunning landscape around you.
