The small town of San Vito al Tagliamento lies close to the Tagliamento river, not far from the beautiful sea resorts of Lignano, Bibione and Caorle, and right the proximity to the river has favored its settlement since ancient times.
The tour will start in particular from 'Piazza Del Popolo', where you will see important buildings such as the Town Hall, the Cathedral and the Public Loggia. You will then visit the Ancient Social Theatre, influenced by the Venetian 18th century style, clearly inspired by the famous 'Teatro La Fenice' in Venice.
You will then go through the medieval village leading to the Castle of San Vito, the ancient residence of the Patriarchate of Aquileia and magnificent patrician residence. After the castle, you will visit the Annunziata Church, which preserves a cycle of frescoes from the second half of the 14th century and the Church of Santa Maria dei Battuti, a jewel of the Friulian Renaissance with its splendid frescoes.
At the end of the tour, you will finally enjoy a delicious aperitif to taste typical Friulian products.
