Vienna is located just one hour by bus from Bratislava. These are the two closest capital cities in Europe. Both cities have similar roots, as both have been part of the Austro – Hungarian Empire. Empress Maria Theresa has been crowned in both cities, in Bratislava as Queen of Hungary and in Vienna as Empress of Austria. The bus will depart from the Vienna Erdberg Bus Station at 10.20 am and you will arrive in Bratislava at 11.30 am at the Most SNP bus stop. You will have some free time in Bratislava until 12.00 pm.
You will then meet your guide at 12:00 pm in front of the main entrance of the Park Inn Danube Hotel (just 250 meters from the bus stop, you will just need to cross the zebra crossing). At noon you will start the 1-hour walking tour in the historic city center of Bratislava. Discover all the highlights including St. Martin’s Cathedral Slovak National Theater, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra – Reduta and the Man at Work Statue. Head to the Main Square with Roland Fountain, statue of Napoleonic soldier and Old Town Hall. Continue to oldest sacral building in Bratislava – Franciscan Church, St. Michael’s Gate and Trinity Church.
Afterward the guide will lead you to a restaurant, where you'll order a local 2 course menu (without drinks). Folliwing lunch you will enjoy a beer tasting at SLADOVNA – HOUSE OF BEER microbrewery. Tour the brewery and taste 3 samples of local craft beer with pretzel.
Finally, you will have free time in Bratislava to explore the area on your own! Choose to checkout the UFO Observation Tower and its deck using a 20% discount at the entrance.
Eventually departure of the bus at 18:20 PM, from Most SNP bus stop. It is the same bus stop as you would arrive in Bratislava. Arrival in Vienna at 19:20 in the evening again at Vienna Erdberg Bus Station.
