What to expect

Explore the former capital of Croatia, Varazdin!

In the morning, your guide will come to pick you up at your accommodation in Zagreb and a 1-hour drive north will take you to Varazdin. Here you will start with a walking tour through the city center, explore the Baroque architecture of the city, the Cathedral of Assumption, St. John Monastery and Town Hall.

Then, an hour of free time allows you to experience the city center independently and have lunch (own expense). Once you have refueled, continue to Trakoscan where you will enter its famous Castle, believed to stand there since the 13th century. Your guide will tell you all about the Croatian aristocracy and the stories behind the castle.

After exploring the castle, return to the coach that will take you back to the hotel in Zagreb.
