Cosa aspettarsi

In collaborazione con la Regione dell'Egeo Meridionale, il Comune di Rodi e l'EAS SEGAS Dodecaneso, l'ONG Rhodes Marathon presenta la 12ª edizione della rinomata TUI Rhodes Marathon, in programma domenica 18 aprile 2027. Il programma della manifestazione comprenderà anche una mezza maratona, gare da 10 km e 5 km (corsa e camminata), oltre a una corsa di 600 m per bambini.

Il percorso della maratona offre un'esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Segue un tracciato costiero lungo le mura della Città Medievale, regalando panorami mozzafiato sull'infinito blu del Mar Egeo per una distanza di 42 chilometri. Questo evento sportivo ha un fascino globale ed è meticolosamente progettato per mettere in risalto l'eccezionale bellezza culturale e naturale dell'isola di Rodi.

Che siate corridori esperti o alle prime armi, questa maratona promette un'esperienza unica. La combinazione del percorso panoramico e dello sfondo storico la rende molto più di una semplice gara: è una celebrazione dello sport, della storia e della natura, tutto in uno.

Punto d'incontro:

Il punto di partenza di tutte le gare è Piazza Eleftherias, ad eccezione della 5 km (sia di corsa che di camminata) e della gara per bambini di 600 m, che partiranno da Piazza Rimini (di fronte al Taxidromido (ELTA)). I partecipanti devono presentarsi almeno 45 minuti prima dell'orario di partenza previsto.

Partecipanti di età inferiore ai 18 anni sia per la maratona che per la mezza maratona
Partecipanti di età inferiore ai 15 anni alla gara di 10 km
Partecipanti di età inferiore ai 12 anni per la gara di 5 km e la camminata
Partecipanti nati prima del 2015 e dopo il 2018 per la gara per bambini di 600 m. Si prega di notare che per la partecipazione sarà richiesto anche il consenso scritto di un genitore

Sia la maratona che la mezza maratona partiranno alle 7.30 del mattino, con partenza e arrivo in Piazza Eleftherias, nel centro di Rodi
La gara di 10 km partirà alle 7.15 del mattino da Piazza Eleftherias (punto di partenza e di arrivo)
La gara di 5 km partirà alle 11.50 (Blocco A) e alle 11.52 (Blocco B), con partenza da Piazza Rimini e arrivo in Piazza Eleftherias
La camminata di 5 km partirà alle 11.55, con partenza da Piazza Rimini e arrivo anch'essa in Piazza Eleftherias
La gara per bambini di 600 m avrà inizio alle ore 13:00 in Piazza Eleftherias, di fronte al Taxidromido (ELTA) (punto di partenza e di arrivo)
I premi (medaglia e diploma) saranno assegnati ai primi tre classificati della classifica generale maschile e femminile di ogni gara. Il primo atleta maschile e la prima atleta femminile di ogni gara riceveranno inoltre un trofeo
Ai partecipanti saranno forniti: una bottiglia d'acqua ogni 2,5 km; una bevanda energetica sportiva (in bicchiere) ogni 5 km; banane al raggiungimento dei 25, 30 e 35 km, nonché al traguardo; gel energetici al raggiungimento dei 20 e 30 km
Sarà disponibile assistenza medica alla partenza e all'arrivo della gara, nonché presso ogni punto di ristoro
Nell'area di arrivo saranno disponibili acqua in bottiglia, bevande sportive, barrette energetiche e integratori per il recupero per i partecipanti alla Maratona e alla Mezza maratona
Nel caso in cui si ritiri l'attrezzatura di un altro corridore, è necessario presentare una copia della carta d'identità o del passaporto del rappresentante

Special Greek Easter event – Good Friday – 30th April 2027

Easter is one of the most important dates in the Greek calendar. And on this evening out, you can join in on the Good Friday celebrations. We'll pick you up from your hotel and drop you off with your guide at the Gate of St Athanasius to begin the festivities.First up is a guided walk of Rhodes old town before heading for a traditional meal in a restaurant. Then, you'll visit Agios Fanourios church, where you'll learn the history behind this tiny place of worship.Next up is the epitaph procession. Here the Epitafios – the icon depicting Christ ready for burial – is carried through town, accompanied by a choir and candle-carrying locals. Hymns are sung and all along the route, people scatter flowers. You'll soon realise why Easter is bigger than Christmas in Greece. It's a really unique experience and quite a sight to behold. After the procession, meet at Kolona harbour for pick-up and return to your hotel.
