The adventure kicks off with a boat trip around the mangrove forests of Ko Lanta Yai and Ko Lanta Noi. You'll see the strange beauty of trees that grow half underwater and half above. Next, you'll dine at a nearby restaurant for lunch.
The afternoon is spent getting to know local life. First up is Lanta old town. You'll wander round streets of historic wood buildings – make sure to see the houses on stilts. And on the last stop, you'll meet a unique group of people – the Moken – who have maintained a totally distinct culture while living off the sea, hence their Sea Gypsies nickname.
