The fjords, inlets, villages and sandy beaches located just outside of Tromsø make it a scenic region that travelers from all over the world love exploring. On this tour you will visit some favorite Arctic areas to see the fjords from land and spot wildlife as you pass through cozy fishing villages.
Upon meeting your experienced guide and getting briefed about the tour, you will head out in a small group in a warm and comfortable minibus. Your guide will share some history of the area and local knowledge as you make your way to visit 3 main spots located on the island of Kvaløya.
Your first stop will be Ersfjord, a local coastal village which was traditionally a fishing village and is now known for its picture-perfect fjord. You will then head to Sommarøy which is known for its crystal clear blue water and sandy beaches, with peak mountains in the background creating a dramatic view of the Arctic landscape. The last stop for the day is Hella which is home to rock carvings that are thousands of years old.
This day out can be enjoyed by the entire family and you will be provided with warm safety suits, gloves and boots to make this Arctic experience as comfortable as possible. During one of the stops you will be served a light meal consisting of wraps and hot drinks. Time permitting, you might stop at additional photogenic locations to take photos and hopefully spot reindeer, moose, eagles and other wildlife.
