Venture on the unique First Cliff Walk and enjoy stunning views of the cliff face from the 40-metre-longer single-rope suspension bridge.
Take a seat inside the cozy mountain restaurant or on its spacious terrace and treat yourself to a delicious Swiss meal. Discover the favorite pastime of the Swiss and hike to picturesque Lake Bachalpsee (6 km / 1.5 – 2 hours return with a moderate inclination).. Rest on its shore and admire the reflection of the surrounding mountains in the crystal-clear mountain lake. Make your way back and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Back at the cable car station, take the cable car past grazing cows and typical Swiss chalets down to Grindelwald.

You'll understand how, with its misty mountains and achingly pretty wooden houses, the Lauterbrunnen valley inspired epic fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien. There's free time here to wander the charming village, grab a hot chocolate and admire Staubbach Falls: Switzerland's third-highest waterfall, before heading back to Lucerne.
