The tour to Santiago de Compostela, when the guide picks you at your hotel. Start your trip on a comfortable minivan and continue towards northern Portugal to the Minho region. Enjoy the wonderful view of the green landscape until you cross the border to northwest Spain, in Galícia. Once in Galícia, learn about St James Way, one of the most famous pilgrimage routes in the world. Finally, coming to your destination head to Santiago's UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town district. You will learn about the city’s history and get a city map from your guide to explore the city in your own way.
Then, you will have free time to attend the pilgrimage mass, taking place at the famous cathedral, and stroll around the city’s medieval narrow streets. Meet back with your guide, and have a typical Galician lunch in a charming local restaurant (own expense). On the way back, discover the city of Valença do Minho, in the North of Portugal, located on the border between Portugal and Spain. Valença do Minho is dominated by a fortress with two towers and a double wall projected in the 17th century.
