The best works of one of the greatest Czech composers of all time in the beautiful scenery of the Baroque Villa America - sounds like a fairytale, but is actually possible in Prague! Participate in the classical music concert in Antonín Dvořák Museum in Prague and travel with your mind back to the XIX century!
Rusalka, The Jacobin, Moravian Duets, Biblical Songs and Mazurek are just some of the compositions that you will have a chance to hear during the evening! The concert is held in the Music Salon, which holds a wonderful ceiling fresco called "Rise of Apollo" by Jan Ferdinand Schor and an imposing Baroque fireplace. Musicians are dressed in period costumes and the master, Antonín Dvořák, is due to arrive at any moment… The performance is featured in English and Czech, while the arias are performed in their original language. Multilingual programs are available, the program is about 80 minutes long without interlude.
After the concert, find out more about the Antonín Dvořák at the local museum! The museum displays documents and personal effects chronicling the composer's life and works. Exhibits include sheet music manuscripts, programs, posters, works of art, and period photographs as well as personal objects and correspondence.
