Enjoy a full-day tour visiting the must-see sights of the Reykjavik Peninsula like the Geldingadalir eruption site, the hot springs of Gunnuhver, and the Valahnúkamöl bird cliff.
Start your day with a short ride along the lava-shaped coast of Iceland. You will then follow your guide on a short (45-minute) hike into the Geldingadalir Valley. Keep your eyes open to see the impressive Fagradalsfjall mountain appear and getting closer you can see the crater spitting up lava in the air.
Your guide will then try to get you as close as possible always keeping your safety in mind. The eruption site is always changing, you might see some lava rivers or waterfalls, or lava pools. After 4 to 5-hours of walking around the erupotion site, you will head back to the car to make your way to the next stop, the hot springs of Gunnuhver a site with incredible mud pools and steam vents.
Next, you will reach the famous bird cliff of Valahnúkamöl. Visit the Reykjanesviti Lighthouse, the oldest structure of its kind in Iceland and you will then make your way back to Reykjavik.
