Get the most of Paris' culture and history with this full-day tour of the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles, private transportation included.
The day starts at 10.30am when you'll meet your guide and your small group outside the Louvre. With your skip-the-line tickets, you'll avoid the crowds gathered in front and slip right in for a two-hour tour of the Louvre's world-famous art collection. Gape at the dramatic canvases of the French Romantics, marvel at ancient Hellenistic statues like the Venus de Milo and Winged Victory, and don't forget about the Mona Lisa. Your guide is a local expert who has dedicated their life to studying art and history so you'll get a lot of enriching info behind everything you see.
After your Louvre tour, you'll break for lunch (not included, but your guide will give you recommendations) then head over to the pickup point for your afternoon excursion. From there you’ll make it to the outskirts of Paris, where Louis XIII first built a hunting lodge that was later extended by his son into the royal palace you see today. Unlike most tours, we take advantage of the last entry of the day and approach the palace through the gardens, so after an extensive look at the fountains, you'll step inside after most of the other visitors have left. You'll stroll through peaceful hallways and beautiful staterooms as your guide tells you the epic story of the rise and fall of the Bourbon Dynasty. After seeing the King's Apartment, War Room, Peace Room, and Hall of Mirrors, you'll exit through the front and experience the most famous view of the Versailles, the opulent grand facade.
With expert guides and all-inclusive transportation, this is the easiest and more engaging way to see two of France’s greatest cultural treasures.
